The easiest way to get ahead in business is to help people make money.

First....we had some minor damage to our roof Monday 5/4/2026....STRONG WINDS.

20 feet of ridge vent at peak of roof(blew off).

I bought cap that goes on top of ridge vent.
Ridge vent costs $50(contractor brought along).

We called insurance man....he sent out roofer who lived a couple of miles from my Dad's former car dealer.

Roofer had to drive 45 minutes each way=1.5 hours +1 hour on roof= 2.5 hours total + $50 for ridge vent(plus his gas)

When he was done....I asked him, how much do I owe you. He said $100
I said....thats not enough and we summarized(2.5 hours of his time + $50 for materials(plus his gas)).

I gave him $200.

He said, I've NEVER had a customer give me more than I asked for.

I replied.....now you have, you have provided me GREAT VALUE.

This was Tuesday 5/5/2026

What happened on Wednesday 5/6/2026....the very next day.

My wife and I have referred someone for a new job.

Their new boss gave us a check for $1500.
