And pairing them up so the colors matched.

Each of us had a different color Thread in our socks. A tiny knot of thread.

Mr Detective Had a Better idea.

Every Morning the Detective Woke up.

Stumbled into the kitchen to turn the coffee pot on.

Then back in his bedroom.

Eyes Closed.

He Opened the Top Drawer. Grabbed a shirt.

2nd Drawer - He grabbed a pair of pants.

Third - Underwear.

4th Drawer - He grabbed 2 Black socks and put them on.

Every sock was Black. No Sorting. No matching of colors.

BLACK goes with Everything you wear.

RATS.

All those years of sorting and matching socks. HOURS and HOURS Lost.

Wasted.

My Advice.

Do what I did. IMMEDIATELY After Reading The Book.

Buy a dozen pair of all BLACK socks. Give all your other red, blue, white, green socks away.

OR toss them in the Trash.
